StoreKnows FAQ
Straight answers about simulated checks, which assistants are tested, what a published fix makes public, and what is included.
- What does a StoreKnows check show?
- It tests product questions using simulated AI shoppers. You review the answers, the recorded reference used to assess each one, and the product details available to a proposed fix. Model and evaluator settings are saved with the run. A recorded reference is part of the test, not an independently verified citation; results do not predict sales or guarantee that a consumer assistant will give the same answer.
- Does it work with every AI assistant?
- Checks run simulated shoppers on ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude models through the storefront tools Shopify provides. StoreKnows does not add a chat widget or promise placement in AI search results. It supplies read-only product tools on supported theme-based Shopify stores for compatible shopping agents.
- Does it use live inventory?
- No. Tools use a saved catalog copy. Prices and availability may change after capture; the current product page and checkout remain authoritative. You can refresh catalog data separately from an AI check; refreshing does not silently replace the public version.
- What becomes public when I enable a fix?
- Publication makes the selected product data and referenced charts publicly accessible, including to people outside your store. A storefront password does not protect published tool data. Review the preview before approving, and keep private information out of the selection. Tools are read-only: they never rewrite products, change stock, buy items or edit orders.
- What does the storefront availability check prove?
- It visits your storefront and checks whether the expected tools can be found; the setup screen shows the latest result and its timestamp. It is separate from answer quality: it does not run a daily AI comparison, refresh catalog facts or record shopper conversations.
- What is included?
- Check is free: one completed baseline check per store, answers by tested model, product sources and gaps, and the ability to try applicable fixes with your own question. Enabling is a one-time charge per store, billed through Shopify, that covers all applicable supported fixes, publication, guided theme activation and verification, one initial after-check and two additional manual checks. There is no subscription, overage, per-order fee or per-tool-call charge. The current price is on our Shopify App Store listing.
- What if there is no useful fix?
- You can review the check and the data guide without buying Enable. Existing tools may already answer well, or more product data may be needed first. If an answer is still wrong after publishing, email support with your store domain, the question and what you expected.
