About StoreKnows

StoreKnows is built by Invenire Studios, a small Australian software studio run by Arve Solland, and grew out of Analytics Agent, a Shopify analytics app. It exists because the questions specialist merchants answer every day, will it fit, which size, what is the difference, are now being asked of AI assistants, and the assistants often cannot see the product data that holds the answer.

How we test

A check builds realistic shopper questions from a store's own catalog, records a reference answer for each from the product data, then lets simulated shoppers on OpenAI, Google and Anthropic models ask those questions through the storefront tools Shopify provides on every store. A separate judge model grades each answer against its reference. Everything, including model versions, is saved with the run.

What we publish, and how

• Every figure carries its sample size, the models used, and the date it was run. Simulated checks call developer APIs, not the consumer apps, and do not predict what a consumer assistant will say to a real shopper.
• We aggregate across stores by default and name a store only when the data we cite is already public on its storefront.
• We never edit screenshots, never invent conversations, and never promise placement in any AI product.
• Platform facts about Shopify's agentic features carry the date and the primary page they came from, and are re-checked when Shopify changes them.
